Your Questions, Answered.
Osteopathy supports comfort and mobility by looking at how the body is moving, adapting, and sharing load. If you’re noticing tension, discomfort, or patterns that seem new or persistent, we can explore what’s going on and whether osteopathic care may help.
No, you don't need a referral to book an appointment. Some insurance providers require a referral though, so if you plan to claim through extended health benefits check with them first.
You don't need ultrasound, x-ray or MRI tests before seeing me either. If you have access to results from recent imaging bring the reports with you so we can review them. Otherwise book directly whenever you're ready!
Absolutely. If you’re unsure, feel free to reach out.(https://bloom-osteopathy.ca1.cliniko.com/bookings?business_id=382538956861868218&practitioner_id=382538953984575724#service) I’m happy to help you understand what I look for, how treatment works, and whether it may be a good fit for your family.
Totally normal. Sessions are flexible and shaped around your baby’s cues. You’re welcome to feed, soothe, or snuggle as needed. It’s all part of the process.
Yes. Kids explore, wiggle, and shift so treatment adapts with them. Sessions are active, playful, and responsive to their comfort.
Absolutely. Parents are involved throughout - holding, feeding, supplying snacks, holding a show, and playing is always welcome.
I want them to feel as comfortable as possible! If that means having their favourite stuffed animal to cuddle then feel free to bring that along. We can't always expect them to be still for the whole session either so bring toys, teethers or books that they like to keep them busy. If you're comfortable with your child watching a show while they're here bring a device for them too.
Every body responds differently. Some people notice change quickly, while others benefit from a few sessions to support longer‑term patterns. We reassess together and adjust as needed.
Think comfortable and stretchy! Wear bottoms you can move easily in and a lightweight top to get the most out of your session. Babies can stay dressed in whatever keeps them warm and settled.
