Golf season is here…I think?

The Monthly-ish # 4: May 4th 2026
I know a few of you have been out there already. Some courses are open, but I'm still waiting for a stretch of days that actually feels like it's arrived.
Barrie has not exactly delivered on the spring promise so far.
If your body took a beating this winter, the fear of it not holding up might be holding you back from getting properly excited about a new golf season.
Well, guess what? This slow spring start might actually work in your favour.
A more gradual return to the course means you have more time to ease back into movement, address what's been bothering you, and actually feel ready when the weather finally cooperates.
Pain isn't just about what's happening at the sore spots. Getting outside, doing something you love, hopefully with friends, that's real medicine too.
And if you've neglected those new aches over winter, it doesn't mean you won't be able to enjoy the season. There's still plenty of time for us to work out the kinks.
You don't have to feel perfect to enjoy this season. And honestly, given the spring we've had, even getting out for one decent round right now feels like a win.
Shake off those worries and get out there.
Spring is coming, and so are you.
In the meantime, here's what I've got on the books this month…
For Myself: Rest. Like hopefully a lot of it. Maybe I'll just dip back into a quick hibernation mode so I can greet spring properly.
For My Family: We're prioritizing outside time this month. Miles is already zooming on the balance bike, and hopefully Zara will be off to the races with her new pedal bike by June too.
For My Practice: I'm a little more booked up than usual, so there won't be a lot going on behind the scenes in May which is perfectly fine with me. Treating you is exactly where I want to be putting my practice energy anyway!
That's all for now.
